BillingTree®, one of the nation’s leading on-demand payment processors, today announced the launch of Health PAS™, a unique initiative through which third-party billing services and accounts receivable companies can process payments on behalf of a healthcare organization. Health PAS enables companies to offer an enhanced range of payment options including processing HSA and FSA payments and dramatically improve the revenue cycle for their providers’ patient services.

The Health PAS program encourages third-party billing services and accounts receivable companies to invite their healthcare customers to create a merchant account through BillingTree. The company is then able to offer more payment services than would usually be permitted, such as instant authorization of credit and debit cards on behalf of the provider’s account, the ability to accept more payment options including HSA and Flexible Spending Accounts FSA, and new revenue opportunities including expanded first party billing and early out services.

“Our new Health PAS initiative will enable companies to earn increased revenue by receiving a percentage of the transaction fees processed on behalf of enrolled providers and streamline their current processes,” stated Chad Probst, BillingTree’s Director of Sales.

“Collecting the patient responsible portion of healthcare bills continues to be a challenge for providers nationwide. BillingTree is focused on working with its partners to provide tools which enable them to more effectively and efficiently collect funds on behalf of their healthcare clients,” said Matt Llewellyn, VP of Healthcare Sales at BillingTree. “As the market shifts to one in which the patient is required to pay more out of pocket, BillingTree’s product suite provides technology which integrates into the workflow and helps healthcare providers improve cash flow and reduce bad debt.”

BillingTree will be launching the new Health PAS program at the ACA International Convention and Expo, July 17-20 and interested delegates are invited to attend an evening event to discuss the new opportunities this initiative presents. If you would be interested in attending the cocktail reception on Thursday, July 19th, please RSVP at http://www.pages02.net/billingtree/meeting/ACAParty.
