SALEM, N.H.Windham Professionals, a leading accounts receivable management and customer care firm, is donating $10,000 to aid military veteran debt relief. Each year, ARMing Heroes, the credit and collection industry’s charity for military veterans, holds its No Debts for Vets fundraising drive, which provides debt relief grants to veterans in which all funds are paid directly to grant recipients’ creditors. Windham will match its employees’ contributions for a total overall donation of $10,000. Fundraising begins September 11 and concludes on Veterans Day.

Founded in 2009, ARMing Heroes provides financial assistance to veterans in need. Each year, the organization provides tens of thousands of dollars in grants to veterans facing financial difficulties. For every $10 collected during the drive, close to 100% goes directly to debt relief, with ARMing Heroes paying the debt on behalf the veteran.  The charity keeps expenses down by relying on donor organizations to provide in-kind services to support its operations.  There are no employees, and no paid executives. No board member takes any compensation or stipend, and overhead expenses are minimal.

“Being able to assist veterans is a great honor and tradition that Windham is proud to be a part of,” said Cherie Sugg, Windham’s Senior Vice President of Human Resources. “We pride ourselves as an employer that is committed to diversity in its workforce, and one that honors the sacrifice and service of our veterans, military personnel, and military spouses.”
