LHR, Inc announced today that effective last week it has begun offering its expertise in collecting purchased accounts to other buyers of charged-off U.S. debt.  The decision to formalize this product offering came after servicing accounts for creditors and a small group of debt buyers over the past few years and consistently outperforming other agencies, as indicated by existing clients.

“We have a great working relationship,” states Dawn T. Horst, President of DHC Debt, LLC, a leading master servicer of accounts for various purchasers and investors. “They are a mid-sized agency, built on the infrastructure of a large company, while performing at the level of a small agency. LHR is consistently a top performing agency.”

“For 17 years LHR has been a prominent figure in the debt buying industry, collecting on our own accounts since 1996,” says LHR president Wayne Lewis. “Over the past few years we have partnered with several top financial institutions and debt buyers, but we have never formally offered our services to the debt buying community.”

“Today’s buyers face the challenge of not only meeting their performance requirements, but doing so in an extremely  customer friendly manner.  A few years ago we asked ourselves what the future regulatory environment may look like and decided to take it two steps further than that.  Because of the foresight and commitment of our people we have developed unique systems that truly allow us to treat a client’s accounts as our customers while continuing to perform at a high level.  We feel we are several steps ahead of our competition,” Lewis continued.

Debt buyers will now be able partner with an agency who knows the unique challenges and needs of a purchaser.  “The general market had no idea that LHR now provides collections services to other buyers,” says Brad Elliott, a Director at LHR and former owner of Dunstone Financial, a contingency collections specialist.  “Since January of 2012, we have been developing numerous unique programs that allow the customer to avoid having to be part of a “normal collection process.  We hope to release these revolutionary tools to other agencies sometime this year. They are really exciting!”

When asked about the change in focus from buying accounts to working accounts for other companies and creditors, Lewis said, “With the current challenging cycle ongoing in the purchasing sector, we felt like this was a good step for our company, and a great service offering to make available to debt buyers.”

LHR is SSAE 16 Certified, and won the 2010 Collection Technology Excellence Award.
