Javitch, Block, Eisen & Rathbone is on the grow again. The 10-year-old creditor representation law firm has leased an additional 3,279 square feet of space on Rockside Road in Independence, bringing their square footage in that building to 8,303.
They are also in the process of hiring 20 new employees and relocating some of their staff from downtown to the new office. The new hires include all phases of support staff: word processing, secretarial, paralegal, and collectors. They have also added staff to their 1,500 square foot call center in Ghanna, Ohio, a Columbus suburb. In addition, three new lawyers have been hired for their Cincinnati and Columbus offices.
In the last 18 months, Javitch, Block, Eisen & Rathbone has doubled its staff. The firm is headquartered in 27,000 square feet of office space in downtown Cleveland and has satellite legal offices in downtown Columbus and Cincinnati, both of which had to move to new space last year due to growth. The satellite offices are part of Javitch Block Eisen & Rathbone’s plan of decentralized growth.
Because of JBER?s advanced technology, the actual location of office space may be inconsequential, says Joel Rathbone. ?Our technology makes these different locations invisible. We have an 800 number and use telephone technology that links us seamlessly throughout the firm and maintains continuity. All of our departments are connected by our technology, proprietary software, and telephone network,? says Rathbone.
After experimenting for the last year on imaging systems, the firm has become paperless, which further simplifies the firm?s decentralization plans. Javitch, Block, Eisen & Rathbone specializes in the areas of collections, bankruptcy, commercial litigation, landlord/tenant law and business transactions. The firm is headquartered in Cleveland and has additional offices in Columbus and Cincinnati.
