SARASOTA, FL – Vengroff Williams & Associates’ Sarasota office will go on a hiring spree as it becomes the bill collector for a major medical products manufacturer.

The manufacturer tried handling part of its accounts receivable department through workers in India, but was not satisfied.

That opened the door for what is the largest single domestic contract in Vengroff’s 41-year-history, a piece of work generating nearly $3 million a year to start.

Vengroff, a leader in the receivable management industry, already employs 170 people in Sarasota at the intersection of Fruitville Road and School Avenue. It is in the process of renovating a large adjacent warehouse into office space for an extra 84 employees.

“We’re growing fast,” said Joe Simonetta, Vengroff’s regional president. “We have to hire about 10 people a week for the next five weeks. We’ll be up around 220 from 170 within a couple of months.”
