Companies that conduct credit card transactions, or store or manage credit card information, must counter increasingly sophisticated theft attempts in order to ensure the continuing privacy of consumer data. They must also comply with stringent security policies set down by credit card issuers — like Visa’s Account Information Security (AIS) Program and MasterCard’s Site Data Protection Program (SDP) — and adhere to privacy legislation being implemented globally.

To maintain the highest levels of protection for its clients and consumers, TeleCash, a leading electronic payments network operator in Germany, sought a solution for encrypting critical credit card data.
