LAKE BLUFF, IL ? Credit & Management Systems, Inc. (CMS), a leading provider of business to business credit management software, today announced three new offerings to augment it?s flagship software product, the Corporate Credit Manager™ (CCM). Modular by design, these new offerings ? The Collection Assistant™, CMS Web Application Processor™, and CMS Open Data Connectivity™ ? seamlessly integrate with CCM version 7.0 to provide a comprehensive and robust credit and collection solution. The new modules are being made available on CMS?s client server and online hosted (ASP) based versions, thereby making the full functional capabilities of CCM available to any size company.
?CMS?s mission statement has always been to provide a flexible framework for clients to define their own credit system, to provide the means to capture and score the necessary data, and facilitate the access to the information to allow for more consistent, yet comprehensive, analysis of the customer relationship? said John S. Sargent, President and CEO of CMS. ?The addition of these three modules further reflect CMS?s goal to meet a broader range of client needs, while staying true to our stated objectives. By expanding the functionality and by making the system available on both our client server version and our ASP sites, any firm can now have access to a complete credit and collections system.?
The enhancements in Corporate Credit Manager, version 7.0, were designed to improve the flexibility, usefulness and performance of this well known risk management system. Some of the primary changes were unlimited scoring and credit decision criteria, a simplified tab-based interface, a more powerful search capability, expanded hierarchy and data aggregation functionality, and improved financial importing and analysis tools.
The Collection Assistant now combines the power of CCM with a robust open receivables monitoring module, providing both credit management and collections tracking in one system. Flexible user-specific prioritization and action item profiles, based on multiple criteria including risk scores, drive the collector?s activities. Complete follow-up messaging, at both the customer and transaction level, coupled with automated letters, faxes and emails, provides for simplified communications, both internally and with customer accounts. Using CCM?s Report Writer, management can easily get timely reports on collector statistics and collection portfolio status.
CMS Web Application Processor streamlines the new account application process and eliminates duplicate data entry. Via the web, new account applications can be entered remotely. Centralized third-person reviews of new applicants can be performed, if desired, prior to the Application Processor automatically updating CCM to score and recommend credit lines on each new account.
CMS Open Data Connectivity is composed of a series of sub-modules to easily integrate both external and internal data into CCM. Through CMS?s broker server (BAS), CMS Open Data Connectivity provides a single point for users to request data from external third-party data sources. With data security a growing concern, the BAS provides a single connection point for secured requests from CCM and delivery of data from a wide variety of data providers. Sources such as Dun & Bradstreet (using their Integration Toolkit) and Experian (using their NetConnect) can be accessed by CCM for supporting information. International data for public and private companies can be acquired through Bureau van Dijk and others. Interfaces to Standard & Poor?s, BusinessCreditUSA and Reuters (SEC filed financials) have also been developed. For internal data interfaces, CMS Open Data Connectivity provides the ability to interface CCM to enterprise systems such as Oracle, SAP, Peoplesoft, JD Edwards, Lawson, and other Oracle or SQL based software, and in-house developed systems.
