WASHINGTON – U.S. blacks and Hispanics are more likely to take out high-priced home loans than non-Hispanic whites, Federal Reserve Board Gov. Edward Gramlich said on Friday, citing fresh data collected from lenders.
“The prevalence of higher-priced loans differs notably across racial and ethnic groups,” he said in remarks prepared for delivery to the National Association of Real Estate Editors.
