GE Thailand expects that its new GE Money retail bank will be open for operations by December.
Piriyah Wisedjinda, the president of GE Money Thailand, said the new bank would give the company the ability to expand its product offerings to retail customers and small businesses.
“The GE Money retail bank will be positioned in a new market space. It aims to become a one-stop financial service provider offering a wide range of financial products to cater to the needs of Thai customers,” he said.
“The new bank will enhance our ability to offer new types of products. And under the GE Money brand, we expect the bank to help boost our profitability and long-term corporate strength.”
The new bank is one of a handful of new banks to open this year under the financial sector master plan.
