Accounting firm Ernst & Young has announced the nine 2004 Rocky Mountain Entrepreneur of the Year Award recipients.

They were: Scotty Lowery, financial services; Walter Scott, emerging technology; Francisco Garcia, business services; Paul Polak, socially responsible; Thomas and Caroline Hoyt, real estate; David Jacobs, consumer markets; Tom Saurey, manufacturing; and James Tanner, realizing business potential.


Lowery, CEO of Collect America Ltd., developed software and collection strategies that he believes have dramatically improved the industry.


Today the company oversees a network of 30 franchises with a staff of 1,100 employees.
