Atlanta, GA ? Magnum™, a leader in credit data access, analysis and decision applications, announces the shipment of version 3.0 of its popular Decision Assistant, an automated decision management and scoring tool for the risk management and decision marketplace. This new release provides risk managers with the ability to edit, modify, and manage their Main-frame, Tandem, or AS400-based decision rules and scorecards from their desktop. The process is now enhanced with new features and tools.
Typically, if a risk manager desires to create or modify their decision rules, their cut-offs, or their scoring attributes and policies, they must engage their corporate IT staff to perform the necessary hard-coding and implementation work on the host system. Their company’s internal process of system modifications, IT timelines, and IT project management may often result in limited edits, slow response to market changes, and a “make-do” culture in regards to scoring and decision management.
Magnum’s Decision Assistant 3.0 has new functionality, which utilizes a Microsoft® Windows® application at the risk manager?s desktop, and provides the ability to design, edit, and manage their risk system at will. In addition, the new scorecards, edits, and rules developed by the risk manager can be immediately placed into production on the host system, without the intervention of IT personnel.
Decision Assistant 3.0:
- Provides improved policy management with table-driven features for easy updates.
- Allows quick adaptation to competitive, promotional, or economic conditions.
- Supplies consistent decision processes and policy every time, eliminating errors.
- Removes reliance on IT, allowing risk managers to make policy changes to be effective immediately or on a future date.
- Supports an unlimited number of credit policies.
- Allows champion/challenger scenarios to be processed.
- Allows different departments, products, or promotions to have their own policies.
- Performs scoring in a matter of seconds, regardless of policy.
- Performs complex calculations and incorporates the results into a final score.
“The release and shipment of Decision Assistant 3.0 helps Magnum’s leading credit industry clients make faster and more consistent risk decisions by giving them greater flexibility and adaptability when managing their internal decision policies.” said Carl E. Eikhoff, chairman and chief executive officer of Magnum. “Our clients have responded in a very positive way to the Windows-based design tools we provide. Whether they are using the new Decision Assistant 3.0, or our previously released RapUP® 2.1 (a user-controlled scoring attribute design and execution tool), they have a market advantage based on, or attributed to, the speed of implementation and flexibility these systems provide.”
