AmSher Urges Sensitivity To Denver Flood Victims

AmSher Collections Agency, a nationally recognized receivables company headquartered in Birmingham, strongly encourages the creditor and collection industry to be sensitive towards Denver Flood victims and immediately remove anyone that is affected by the disaster from their current contact lists.

“My advice to the industry is to remove all accounts in your data base within the state of Colorado, immediately apologize and offer support if you mistakenly call someone affected, and make a donation to a reputable charity that helps those affected get relief,” said Martin Sher, AmSher Co-CEO.

AmSher suspended collection activity in Massachusetts for two weeks during the Boston Marathon tragedy. Also, collection activity was suspended for months after the tornados impacted Alabama in April of 2011 and Oklahoma in May of 2013. In situations that affect multiple states, such as Hurricane Sandy, AmSher suspends collection activity for the entire area for an extended amount of time.
