Philadelphia, PA – Net Gain Marketing has published its first version of the PCA Competitive Benchmark Report. The report is the culmination of five months of market research conducted among participating collection agencies that hold a contract with the Federal government’s General Services Administration.

The purpose of the report is to provide a snapshot of comparative data on the relative experience and capabilities of participating agencies, providing those agencies with the ability to anticipate the likelihood of contract award from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) when the procurement for the full implementation of that contract begins. It also provides any collection agency with the means to compare their own experience and capabilities with the current field of potential vendors to the Federal government.

To receive a copy of the report, available via email as an electronic document, interested parties should visit www.netgain4results.com and provide contact details within the “Contact” section of the website. Interested parties will be compiled over several days, and the report will be sent out to all parties later this month.

Nick Bernardo, co-author of the report, noted, “We’ve gotten pretty good feedback from people who participated in the survey and have seen the results so far. The report won’t answer every question, but what it does is serve as a yardstick people can use in their own strategy development sessions.”

James Fleming, co-author and consultant to the industry, added, “This report should help some of the agencies we spoke with decide whether to pursue the full implementation. There are obviously some who have not yet decided. Also, it was interesting to find that many of the agencies that hold a contract with the GSA today share many of the same characteristics, whether large or small. The report shows that many potential vendors overall are well prepared to implement and operate a cost-effective program for the government.”
