Bank of America Corp., the No. 3 U.S. bank, on Tuesday said its securities unit may face a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement action over trading and research-related activities from 1999 to 2001.
In its annual report filed with the agency, Bank of America said “SEC staff has recently indicated informally that it is considering whether to recommend enforcement action” against Banc of America Securities.
