St. Louis, MO ? Outsourcing Solutions Inc. (OSI) announced today plans to expand business operations to Canada by establishing a Canadian branch of its subsidiary OSI Recovery Solutions Inc. Civic and provincial representatives of Prince George joined OSI Vice President ? International Operations Chris Knutt for an onsite press conference to announce OSI’s new Prince George call center.
During the press conference Knutt explains “OSI’s selection of Prince George can be attributed to its close proximity and cultural similarities to the United States, the large pool of candidates for staffing selection and the opportunity for OSI to achieve cost efficiencies without sacrificing collection results or quality of service ? all of which are important in meeting our clients? requirements.”
The center will be located at 1411 3rd Avenue and will accommodate 250 FTEs per shift in the 22,000 square feet site. Recruiting of staff, renovations to the space and installation of new furniture and fixtures are expected to be complete by the scheduled opening of July 2005.
OSI recently launched an initiative to explore current and potential opportunities to expand OSI business on a global scale. OSI President and CEO Kevin Keleghan appointed EVP and COO Jeff Wahl to head the new initiative. “I believe that to successfully compete in the collection industry, we must take a very strategic approach to our international business that leverages the best practices of OSI’s U.S operations,” says Keleghan.
“Expanding global operations is an integral part of the company’s long-term growth strategy and also benefits current and potential clients by offering more solutions.” notes Wahl. “It’s not just about growing our international business. It?s about delivering added value that meets client?s needs.”
