D&B Receivable Management Services of Bethlehem has lost a major client, putting more than 200 local jobs in jeopardy.

Cell phone company T-Mobile is terminating its customer service contract with D&B RMS, officials at both companies confirmed Tuesday.

The contract represents the work of one-fifth of D&B RMS’s 1,000 Lehigh Valley employees, but the extent of the layoffs has yet to be determined, according to a spokeswoman for D&B RMS.

…With offices in Canada, Mexico and India, among other places, D&B RMS now employs about 2,000 people worldwide. Yet the occasional contraction is only natural in the volatile world of outsourcing, [the spokeswoman] said.
