Towson, MD ? ACCESS Receivables Management today announced that The State of Maryland Department of Transportation has certified the firm as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) under the Maryland MBE certification program (COMAR 11.01.10). This certification allows the firm to compete for contracts with large corporations with diversity supplier programs as well as state contracts regarding debt collection services.
The company was also named one of the Top 100 Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies in Baltimore in the July, 2005 issue of Baltimore Business Journal.
CEO and majority owner, Debra Gillespie said, “This certification will enable ACCESS to expand on its exciting growth over the next several years. Many large corporations are actively looking to expand their business relationships with qualified diversity businesses. In our first five (5) years we have grown our company from a start-up to over fifty (50) employees, now we see the opportunity to double that growth again in the coming few years. The award by BBJ as well as other awards we have received in the past year only reinforces our commitment to become a premiere provider of commercial collection services throughout the country.”
In addition to the BBJ award, ACCESS has received awards as one of the fastest growing diversity businesses in the country by diversitybusiness.com and The Future 50 Award from Baltimore CEO Magazine in 2004.
