Bank of America Corp.’s investment banking unit might be evicted from its midtown Manhattan offices if former broker Theodore Sihpol is convicted over improper trading of mutual funds, a New York state civil court judge ruled.

The judge, Joan Kenney, said Banc of America Securities might have to vacate its offices at 9 West 57th Street because a conviction would void its lease under a state eviction law often used to thwart illegal drug dealing, alcohol use, gambling and prostitution.
