Geisinger Health System will create about 300 full-time jobs this year as it opens a new service center in Moosic, PA.

Geisinger will open a customer service call center and patient financial services center in April in the former Alliance Capital building at Glenmaura Corporate Center, the company said Thursday. The Danville-based health care company leased the 60,000-square-foot building on Montage Mountain from Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services.

“Geisinger over the past couple years has been adding doctors in many areas,” company spokeswoman Alison Everett said. “We’re seeing more patients, we have more doctors, and there was just such a need for these positions. More than 300 are going to be brand-new positions.”

Call center employees will schedule health care appointments and work with customers. The financial services center will manage patient billing and collection, as well as insurance claims.
