SAN MATEO, CA – Keynote Systems (Nasdaq: KEYN), The Internet Performance Authority®, today announced it has chosen Digital Transactions magazine as a publishing partner for two of its industry leading Web transaction benchmark indices. Digital Transactions will publish the weekly results of the new Keynote Credit Card Web Transaction Performance Index, launched last month, and the Keynote E-Banking Web Transaction Performance Index on its Web site, www.digitaltransactions.net, and in the print version of the magazine. To view the Keynote Transaction indices on the Digital Transactions Web site, click on this link, http://www.digitaltransactions.net/index.cfm?pageid=22.

Digital Transactions is the flagship publication of Boland Hill Media, LLC, which also publishes Digital Transactions News and digitaltransactions.net. Boland Hill Media is a Chicago-based multi-media publisher serving the informational and analytical needs of markets undergoing fundamental transformation brought on by shifts in technology and consumer behavior.

“We are pleased to have Digital Transactions as a publishing partner for both the new credit card Web transaction index and our existing e-banking index,” said Arnold Waldstein, vice president of marketing and business development for Keynote. “The two indices will provide online and print readers of Digital Transactions with easy, timely and valuable access to data that can be used as a gauge for understanding how leading players in each of these two very competitive verticals compare to one another from a Web performance standpoint.”

“Our central tenet is that at a time of such sweeping and often confusing change, business executives more than ever require reliable facts and incisive analysis to develop plans for new products and markets, set pricing, anticipate regulatory complications, and formulate competitive strategies,” said Robert Jenisch, Publisher, Digital Transactions. “Keynote is known for providing accurate, useful, actionable data which allows business and IT executives to move toward a common goal – customer satisfaction. Our central aim is to be the primary provider of such news and analysis. It is logical for us, therefore, to include as part of our regular news and analysis two of Keynote’s industry leading indices which directly address the concerns of our readers.”

As the leader in Web performance monitoring and management, Keynote provides accurate, representative and industry-specific performance benchmarking data to meet the challenges posed to vertical industries whose livelihood is directly correlated with the ability of customers to successfully conduct revenue-generating transactions on a Web site. Keynote currently offers three market-leading Web transaction indices for the financial services industry: online broker, banking and credit card. No other vendor offers three distinct Web transaction indices designed specifically to meet the needs of financial services organizations in these important and growing online categories.

The eight sites currently on the Keynote’s credit card transaction performance index are Bank One, Capital One, Chase, Citibank, Diners Club, Discover Card, MBNA and Providian.

The eleven sites included on Keynote’s e-banking transaction performance index are Bank of America, Bank One, Chase, Citibank, E*TRADE Bank, Fleet Bank, SunTrust, US Bank, Wachovia, Washington Mutual and Wells Fargo.

The data used to produce the indices is taken from actual online bank and credit card transactions Keynote’s automated measurement computers executed and measured from the 10 U.S. cities (Boston, San Francisco, Detroit, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Houston, Dallas) on an hourly basis Monday to Sunday from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM pacific time.

Keynote has historically seen an improvement in overall performance results, over time, whenever it has launched a new vertical-based Web transaction performance index. The goal of all Keynote transactional indices is to help specific vertical industries measure and manage the performance of Web sites and optimize the experience of customers conducting online business.

The Keynote Credit Card and E-Banking Web Transaction Performance Indices are designed to reflect the speed and reliability of the most well known credit card and banking sites with large online presences. Going beyond home page performance, the indices each provide deep insight into the performance of these high traffic financial services Web sites.

The complete results of Keynote’s E-Banking and Credit Card Web Transaction Performance Indices will be published regularly by Digital Transactions in its print publication and on its Web site (www.digitaltransactions.net) and will include data for all sites on both indices. The top five sites on each index, along with their response times and success rates, will continue to be published weekly on Keynote’s Web site at www.keynote.com, along with the “worst average” performance. A link will be provided on Keynote’s Web site to the full results on the Digital Transactions Web site.

Keynote Syndicated Research
In addition to transaction performance measurement, Keynote also provides detailed customer experience measurement services and reports for the credit card and banking industries. The Keynote Customer Experience (CE) Rankings are syndicated, competitive benchmarking studies of customer behavior across leading Web sites in specific vertical industries.
