WATERLOO, IA ? By steadily improving performance and offering enhanced debt collection services, The CBE Group, Inc. (CBE) is expanding its healthcare, financial, student loan, telecommunications, government, and utilities departments.
?It?s just phenomenal,? said Tom Penaluna, CBE?s President & CEO. ?We are growing in every facet of our business, and all this growth gives us the opportunity to provide our clients with new resources we could not offer before and that our competitors cannot offer now. We now utilize these new resources to benefit clients of all types and sizes. A great example of this is our fully secure, HIPAA-compliant Client Access website.?
In support of its ongoing commitment to healthcare collections?what Penaluna refers to as ?CBE?s oldest core business,? the company recently appointed Michelle Tweed as Manager of Paragon Solutions, Inc. (PSI), a wholly owned subsidiary that provides an outsourcing alternative for healthcare providers seeking first-party accounts receivable and insurance followup solutions. Tweed, who joined CBE in 1999, is a Certified Patient Account Technician (CPAT). In addition, CBE has healthcare sales and service representatives in Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, Chicago, and St. Louis with 100 years of combined collection experience.
Continued Growth Creates Hiring Needs
In November 2004, CBE announced that it would be adding more than 400 employees in both Waterloo and West Des Moines over an 18-month period. Due to unprecedented growth in all areas of the company, CBE has already exceeded its anticipated hiring objectives for 2005. Since November, CBE has hired over 250 new employees, and it plans to hire at least 150 more in Waterloo and West Des Moines by the middle of May.
