Morgan Stanley and credit card company Visa will air their grievances to the European Commission this week in a dispute over Visa barring the U.S. bank from its European network.

In August, the Commission charged Visa with breaching EU rules by refusing to admit Morgan Stanley to its European network of shops and merchants, following a complaint from the bank.

Visa, an unlisted grouping of 21,000 banks and financial services providers, said it was defending competition by denying a direct rival access to its proprietary information.
