The Republican Party will repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) and implement a “premium-support model” that the party maintains will save Medicare.

Politico, a political reporting site, claimed it had grabbed an online draft of the Republican Party platform when it was posted briefly on the GOP website. The draft document also addresses Medicaid, recommending that management be given to the states with the federal government only providing the funds in the form of block grants.

The Republican National Convention is scheduled to vote on the final platform today.
