American Profit Recovery, a collection agency in Michigan with additional offices in Massachusetts and North Carolina, has once again taken time out their busy schedule to make the holidays that much more enjoyable for local families in Massachusetts and Michigan. This is the fourth year in a row the company has adopted families with their Adopt a Family program.

Team members and owners of the company have spent the past couple of weeks shopping for families referred to them by Volunteers of America and the Boys and Girls Club of Metrowest.

In Michigan, American Profit Recovery adopted a single mother of six young children, ages 14,13,10,8,5 and 2. A list of items was presented to the company and many participated in helping make this family’s holidays a little brighter. In Massachusetts, the collection agency adopted a father and his two young girls. The father was presented with the toys, clothing and other items just a few days before Christmas at the Boys and Girls Club.

Donated items included a toddler bed, microwave oven, various items for the kitchen and of course toys and children’s clothing. And one employee along with her family made all six children Christmas stockings and filled them with toys, candy and many other items for the Michigan family.

“As adults, we tend to take holidays for granted, especially Christmas. Being in an atmosphere where the family was appreciative of even the smallest things was a huge reality check,” said Diamond Andrews, an APR team member. “This will definitely go on my list of my favorite APR moments.”

Employees of American Profit Recovery (Tony Perez, Tarlise Lott, Ashley McCullough, and Diamond Andrews) get ready to deliver presents.

Employees raised over $1,000 by paying for the opportunity to dress casual in the office and each office set up a giving tree with all the gifts needed for the family. Employees used money raised as well as their own funds to buy gifts.
