In a response to positive growth and development, Cherry Hill, NJ-based collection agency MRS Associates has expanded its office and call center in New Albany, OH. The office, on the outskirts of Columbus, will remain in the same building.
MRS expects capacity to double in its Ohio location. The New Albany office opened in late 2000 with room for 135 employees. The company?s growth so far this decade enabled the center to fill to capacity earlier this year. Exploring expansion options, MRS decided its best move was up two floors in its building to an office twice the size of the current one.
In addition to expanded call center capacity, the company says it has added space for additional services such as training and HR development. According to Darren Schulman, chief financial officer of MRS, the new space will be used immediately.
?We will be hiring new people right away. But our focus will be on hiring the right people,? said Schulman. He also noted that the satellite office will be aggressively ramping up its training of current staff in addition to new hires.
The new space also includes a professional reception area, an expanded administration office, and several multi purpose rooms to be used for training, meetings and client interaction.
And MRS is not stopping with Ohio. Schulman said that plans are in the works for an expansion of their office in Phoenix, Arizona. The Arizona expansion is expected to be ?much more substantial? than the one in Ohio, according to Schulman.
