GM's Finance Arm to Open S Korean Unit

General Motors Acceptance Corp., or GMAC, the financing arm of General Motors, plans to establish a South Korean unit in early April, the company said Monday.

“This represents a logical next step in Korea by GMAC in support of and commitment to the sales channels of GM Daewoo Auto & Technology and Daewoo Motor Sales,” Bob Fall, president of GMAC Korea, said in a statement.
