PENSACOLA, FL – Electronic Recovery Inc. announced the release of the second generation of eSoftPay Desktop software. The Desktop version of eSoftPay runs on the Windows platform and allows users to easily configure recurring ACH debits or credits, accounts receivable, as well as point-of-purchase transactions, pre-arranged consumer debits, and business-to-business transactions. Electronic Recovery also develops and markets eSoftPay Countertop, which is an electronic check solution that allows businesses to do Point of Purchase electronic check transactions using a Verifone™ 3750 terminal combined with a Verifone™ or MagTek™ check imager.

eSoftPay software is integrated with Electronic Recovery Inc.’s check verification service (CAPS). Using the largest ATM network in the U.S., the CAPS system checks for outstanding bad checks prior to completing a payment transaction. The CAPS system also allows merchants to configure their own check acceptance limits on a store-by-store basis.

Extensive online reporting options are available and NSF items can be automatically resubmitted based on rules defined by the merchant.

In a recent interview, Electronic Recovery President and CEO Jim Eliason stated that the eSoftPay products offer an inexpensive way for merchants to process payments electronically. “Electronic check processing is gaining momentum in the marketplace, and eSoftPay is the perfect tool for any merchant. Electronic check processing through the ACH offers a competitive alternative to processing paper checks, and in most cases is superior to debit cards in terms of price and value.”
