The huge expansion of loans to lower-income borrowers over the past decade could be a potential risk in credit markets, U.S. Federal Reserve Board Governor Edward Gramlich said on Monday.
During audience questions at an event sponsored by a law firm in Pittsford, N.Y., Gramlich said a surge in sub-prime lending in the past 10 years could be a “potential issue” in credit markets.
