Brookfield, WI ? In response to the continued increased use of electronic tools, University Accounting Service (UAS) has released an upgrade to the proprietary EBPP (Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment) service.

In 2001, UAS became the first campus-based loan servicer to release proprietary EBPP functionality. This function enabled borrowers to eliminate paper and handle billing/payment processes electronically without going through a third party. Since that time, the increase in client use has led to the need for expanded functionality.

Toward that end, UAS has released a series of upgrades aimed at providing additional information to borrowers and management reporting for schools of the past six months. The most recent upgrade, released in February, 2005 allows student loan managers to access all borrower payment information on-demand through our EBPP site whether payments where made via paper or electronically.

The upgrade provides UAS clients with additional access to key information to help student borrowers manage their accounts. According to UAS senior manager, Lori Vertal, “Clients can view the borrower statement and payment history, monitor electronic payments and process an ACH payment by phone.? All of which enables UAS clients to better service their borrowers.

Since 1969, University Accounting Service (UAS) has served the higher education community by providing professional, specialized services to manage student loan billing functions for campus-based loan programs, including Federal Perkins, Nursing and Health Professions/Primary Care loans. UAS is a subsidiary of Outsourcing Solutions Inc. (OSI).
