BATON ROUGE, LA – APPRO Systems, Inc. (APPRO), the leading provider of automated credit risk management and financial technologies for the lending industry, and CU Direct, which developed and administers the Credit Union Direct Lending (CUDL) program, announced today that they have successfully developed an interface between APPRO’s consumer loan automation system, LoanCenter Consumer™, and the CUDL program, which enables members to receive credit union financing via an automated loan decisioning process at participating automobile dealerships. “The new interface will provide us with an improved approval percentage and an increase in loan bookings,” said Bob Finnegan, vice president of Lending for Pacific Service Credit Union. “We will also enjoy a standardized underwriting process and the ability to have all loan applications residing in one centralized system.”

This new interface enables automobile dealers throughout the United States to submit consumer loan applications online to participating credit unions that utilize both CUDL and LoanCenter Consumer. Members’ application information is submitted directly into LoanCenter Consumer through CUDL’s Dealer Interface, which enables granular and consistent decisioning to take place directly within LoanCenter Consumer. APPRO’s system then decisions the loan, completes risk management strategies and provides a response back to the dealer within seconds. At their end, credit unions can implement decisioning with a single process, streamlining their ability to communicate with dealers, manage risks and monitor their portfolios.

“This is part of CUDL’s ongoing mission to serve credit unions by providing the products and services that enable them to increase their auto loan market share,” said Tony Boutelle, president and CEO of CU Direct. “The interface leverages the best of the two technologies to offer our credit unions flexibility and choice by giving them access to APPRO.”

“Through the combination of our technologies, CUDL and APPRO together bring a significant increase in both flexibility and functionality to each credit union that utilizes our two systems,” said Steve Uffman, CEO of APPRO Systems, Inc. “Successful consumer lending, especially indirect lending, is predominantly based on a financial institution’s availability to provide a qualified response to its customer quickly and conveniently. This interface will better enable CUDL’s customers to do just that.”
