Asta Funding Sets Earnings Release and Conference Call Date

Asta Funding, Inc., a leading consumer receivable asset management and liquidation company, today reported that it will release its fiscal fourth quarter and twelve months financial results ended September 30, 2006, on Thursday, December 14, 2006, before the market opens.

The Company will host a conference call for the investment community that morning at 11:00 am EST. Asta's President and Chief Executive Officer, Gary Stern and its Chief Financial Officer, Mitchell Cohen, will conduct the call.
