Newly-spun off credit information provider Experian said Wednesday that while sales rose 20% in the last three months of 2006, credit conditions remained tough in the UK and the United States.

"U.S. conditions are clearly more challenging than they were 18 months ago, that continues to be a challenge," Chief Financial Officer Paul Brooks said in a release.
Low credit quality could be a problem for Experian going forward if fewer people apply for fewer credit products, thus decreasing demand for their product from banks.
