VISTA Consulting, a Georgia-based debt collection consulting firm, has released The Complete Collection Manager, a comprehensive   reference, tutorial, and sourcebook specifically for collection agency owners and managers.  The book, packaged with a CD-ROM containing spreadsheets, a letter series, state law charts, and other tools, is intended as a wide-ranging “advanced course” in running a collection agency or department.

The book deals with such diverse topics as the use of metrics to improve collectors and business processes, recruiting and hiring talent, the art of negotiation, coaching, counseling, and progressive discipline, leadership in a receivables environment, training staff for success, and inspiring collectors through VISTA’s proprietary “Rewards, Recognition, Release, and Respect” motivational system.  It also covers employment law, the FDCPA, FCRA, HIPAA, and collection laws in the fifty U.S. states and Washington, D.C. in painstaking detail.
