United Recovery Systems (URS), a collection agency headquartered in Houston, TX, has signed an agreement to assume the lease and acquire certain assets of a modern call center facility in Phoenix, AZ from Merchants' Credit Guide Company (MCGC). Kaulkin Ginsberg Company initiated this transaction and served as advisor to MCGC.

According to Michael Lamm of Kaulkin Ginsberg, “We needed to locate a suitable group to take over this high-tech facility as soon as possible. Through our proprietary network of industry relationships and our web portal – www.insideARM.com – we were quickly able to locate many qualified parties, enabling MCGC to execute an agreement in less than a month. Both groups were true professionals in consummating this transaction, and we look forward to working with them in the future.”

The state-of-the-art call center will provide URS with approximately 15,000 square feet and capacity for up to 150 call stations with scalable network infrastructure. The facility includes seven executive offices, two conference rooms, one training room with 12 fully-equipped training stations, an employee lounge, and a secure data station.

“We were pleased to find a well-executed call center that so closely mirrors the state-of-the-art philosophy of our other facilities. We have been considering our expansion options for some time and were ready to move when the right opportunity presented itself,” said Jim Kelleher, President of URS. “It was a pleasure to be involved with partners that were able to execute quickly and effectively.”

“We were hoping to find a qualified party like URS to take over the facility quickly but Kaulkin Ginsberg was able to make this happen faster than I ever thought possible,” said Daniel Burtis, CEO of MCGC. “I was expecting it to close in 90 days, but it closed in less than 30.”
