What's this?
RCS Personal Finance (RCS), a division of the RCS Group, has successfully upgraded to the latest version of PIC Solutions’ renowned collections system, CollectSmart.

The RCS Group is an independent financial services organisation offering retail credit and personal finance to South African consumers through retail cards, personal and home loans and other financial services products.

CollectSmart, formerly known as PCS, is a powerful collections solution, which combines collections industry best practices, flexible user-controlled strategy definition, and an intuitive user friendly collector interface with leading-edge system functionality.  CollectSmart enables organisations to automatically segment accounts and apply appropriate strategies, with champion/challenger testing, and assign specific collector actions.  In addition, users are able to manage appropriate customer interaction through the use of collections scripts.

CollectSmart, developed and supported by PIC Solutions, the leading specialist credit risk solutions company in the EMEA region, was initially implemented by RCS more than two years ago.  This latest version of CollectSmart provides RCS with increased flexibility and functionality, enabling RCS to further improve control and management of the collections process.  Such improvements derive partly from improvements in the allocation of assignment and collection queues to collections teams.

Version 4.0 of CollectSmart also provides superior management of collections strategies through the ability to further segment the collections book, enabling more detailed reporting as well as faster strategy turnaround.

Schalk van der Merwe, Executive Director at RCS, states, “RCS was one of the first organisations to take advantage of CollectSmart and it has proved itself as a valuable tool in managing collections.  CollectSmart has given RCS the ability to intelligently manage our collections area through the application of best practice strategies and it provides us with a great ability to maintain and improve the quality of our debtors’ book.  I am looking forward to RCS continuing to collect smarter with CollectSmart.”

Stephen J. Leonard, CEO a PIC Solutions, states, "The implications of the National Credit Act and the macro-economic environment dictate that credit providers pay particular attention to their collections processes and to the tools they are using.  The success of this upgrade project is testament to the close working relationship between RCS and PIC."
