Portfolio Recovery Looking to Open New Call Center in Tennessee

Norfolk, VA-based Portfolio Recovery Associates is looking to ring in the New Year with a new call center, this one in Jackson, TN.

William O'Daire, senior vice president of operations for the company, told the Jackson Sun that he is in Jackson this week interviewing for management positions, including a Human Resources/Recruiting position and four collections managers.
It’s not a done deal yet, necessarily – but O’Daire pointed out that any remaining obstacles to the planned call center opening are likely to be resolved.
If opened, the local center would employ about 40 within the first year, O'Daire said. After that, the company could employ anywhere from 100 to 200 depending upon demand.
"We will be the only company of our type here," he said. "I think we will attract people who can learn debt collection, and we can be a great employer for them."
