Intrum Justitia Acquires Legal & Trade Collections

Intrum Justitia Ireland, part of Intrum Justitia, today announced the acquisition of Legal & Trade Collections (Ireland) Limited.

The acquisition makes Intrum Justitia Ireland the market leader in credit management services in Ireland, with a combined value of debt handled in excess of €145m ($178.5 million).

Commenting on the acquisition, Nick Biggam, managing director, Intrum Justitia Ireland said: "The company has experienced rapid growth since it was established here in 1999 with a staff of just four, and particularly since the acquisition of Dun and Bradstreet’s receivable management services in 2001.

"The acquisition of Legal & Trade Collections (Ireland) Limited is an important part of our strategy to strengthen and expand our market position.”

All Legal & Trade Collections (Ireland) Limited employees will be integrated within Intrum Justitia Ireland. The combined company will employ 65 office-based staff in addition to a large network of field agents.
