Experian, a global information solutions provider, today announced that it has acquired Inform@rketing, one of Brazil's leading providers of direct marketing services. Inform@rketing is headquartered in Sao Paulo and demonstrates Experian's commitment to continuing its expansion and growth initiatives in Brazil.

"Experian is very pleased to acquire Inform@rketing," said Rick Gallagher, executive vice president of Experian's Latin America group. "They are one of Brazil's leading direct marketing services providers to the financial services industry and will complement Experian's global expertise in the areas of marketing services, database management and client acquisition analytics. "We are very excited to have Inform@rketing become a part of Experian," said Gilberto Vasconcelos, country manager of Brazil for Experian. "The direct marketing industry has experienced rapid growth in Brazil with a compound annual growth rate of 12.4 percent from 2000 to 2006 and 18 percent from 2005 to 2006. The combination of their leadership position in Brazil with Experian's global expertise, international client base and desire to participate in the rapid growth of the South American market will make us a formidable team."

The acquisition is consistent with Experian's global strategy of acquiring complementary businesses that provide new products, new data or entry into new vertical or regional markets, while leveraging the core assets of Experian.
