Executive Change: Wayne Harlock to Lead Business Development at Aktiv Kapital Canada

Aktiv Kapital Canada Ltd., previously known as Portfolio Management Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Wayne Harlock to the position of Vice President, Business Development.

Mr. Harlock brings over 20 years of experience managing a variety of exciting corporate and entrepreneurial roles.  Most recent highlights include the management of Lockfort Professional Services, a startup company which he co-founded.  Previously he was CFO and Compliance Officer for Industrial Alliance Mutual Funds Inc and CFO and VP of Operations for Co-operators Mutual Funds Ltd.

In his new role at Aktiv Kapital, Wayne will primarily focus on growing Aktiv Kapital Canada’s acquisition business through the development of current and new partner relationships.

Scott Coffin, currently in the role as Vice President, Corporate Development, will remain with the organization until July 31, 2008.  For the remainder of his time he will focus on transitioning all duties and current partner relationships to Mr. Harlock to assure the transition is smooth for all business partners.

Recently, the organization has embraced several developments in their second quarter.  These include the appointment of Rod Hooktwith to Country Manager in April of 2008, a formal transition from Portfolio Management Group to the Aktiv Kapital name and brand, as well as a decision to exit the Contingency Business.  All developments are driven by Aktiv Kapital Canada’s vision to not only maintain, but grow their position as Canada’s leading debt buyer.
