St. Could, Minn.-based eBureau, an innovative provider of custom predictive scoring and information solutions, today announced it has appointed Nancy McLaughlin, a well-known and long-time credit and collections industry executive, to the role of vice president.

McLaughlin is responsible for identifying and securing strategic partnerships and alliances within the credit and collections arena. In addition, she is charged with overseeing partnership implementations once such agreements are reached. McLaughlin will also represent eBureau on the affiliate and online committees of ACA International, the worldwide trade association for professional businesses and individuals in the credit and collections industry.

A successful sales and business development professional with four decades of experience in credit and collections management, McLaughlin joins eBureau from LexisNexis. As the company’s director of partner alliances, she was instrumental in developing profitable relationships with leading software companies, technology vendors, and services firms. Previously, she was vice president of Dolan Media, a provider of electronic public-records information, including bankruptcies, civil judgments, federal and state tax liens, and eviction notices, acquired by LexisNexis in 2003. During her tenure with Dolan, McLaughlin supervised the development and market launch of the company’s highly-successful Banko product, a searchable database of personal and corporate bankruptcy information.

“With her outstanding reputation in the credit and collections market, and successful track record in developing successful partnerships, Nancy is the ideal choice to spearhead the company’s partner development and integration efforts in this segment,” said Mark Doman, executive vice president of eBureau. “In addition, Nancy brings a detailed, nuanced understanding of the industry to eBureau, as well as a deep network of business contacts, all of which will play critical roles in helping the company achieve its overall growth plans.”

“In an era of tighter industry margins, credit and collections firms need to leverage the very best analytics tools available in the market,” said McLaughlin. “I am looking forward to working with the key industry software vendors to bring eBureau’s next generation predictive scoring capabilities to their customers.”

A native of Minnesota, McLaughlin began her career as a collection and skip tracer for a large national retailer. She has also served as a credit manager at two other retailers, and has been president of a collections agency.
