Executive Bio: John O'Donnell

John O'Donnell is Vice President of Credit and Collections at Afni, Inc. In his role, O'Donnell directs all recovery services at Afni, including first and third party collections, debt purchase and subrogation and arbitration services.

O'Donnell has been with Afni since 1999. He is a member of the Executive Team and has been instrumental in helping provide Afni clients with comprehensive receivables management services. Under his leadership, Afni has exponentially increased the total dollars recovered for clients each year. In fact, in 2004 alone, O'Donnell's teams recovered over $300 million.

An expert in recovery operations and strategic planning, O'Donnell has integrated a number of best practices and collection strategies for Afni clients. He is a renowned expert in the collection industry and has been a requested speaker at many conferences for leaders in the collection and insurance industries. O'Donnell has also served as a highly credible resource for members of the media and has been published in Call Center Magazine.

Before joining Afni, O'Donnell served as Manager of Credit and Collections for 360° Communications. Prior to that, he served in a variety of roles at Sprint Long Distance mapping and creating process improvements.

O'Donnell is a long standing member of the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals and the National Association of Subrogation Professionals. He is a graduate of Northern Illinois University and holds a Bachelor of Finance degree.

In his spare time, O'Donnell enjoys running, golfing and water skiing. Married for over 14 years, he and his wife Mary Ann reside in Bloomington, Illinois and are the proud parents of three children.
