Mr. Herbert joined our subsidiary, Asset Acceptance, LLC, in September 2006 as Vice President and General Counsel. Mr. Herbert previously served as an equity partner at Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, Toledo, Ohio, where he practiced law as a member of the firm’s financial institutions practice group from October 2004 to September 2006. Prior to joining Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, Mr. Herbert practiced law with Werner & Blank, LLC, from October 1998 to October 2004, and was a partner with that firm from January 2000 to October 2004. Mr. Herbert was Executive Vice President and General Counsel of ValliCorp Holdings, Inc., Fresno, California from 1994 to 1997, and Executive Vice President and General Counsel of CFX Corporation, Keene, New Hampshire from 1997 to 1998. Mr. Herbert is a member of the American Bar Association, and a member of the California and Ohio bars.
