Idaho’s Latah County has signed a contract with AllianceOne, a Pennsylvania-based collection agency, to recoup missing funds from unpaid fines, fees and court costs.

AllianceOne has served the court and government industry in comprehensive collection service since the early 1980s and currently serves over 500 different courts and government agencies.

The company was formed in March of 1999 through the simultaneous acquisition and merger of five receivables management companies. “Our first revenue client and our first court client are still with us,” Renee Linnabary, senior vice president, Government, told insidARM.com this morning. Roughly 20 percent of the company’s revenues are derived from municipal collections, gathered through a combination of Request For Proposals, bid-provider sites, conferences, and word-of-mouth, says Linnaberry.

Municipal collections is carried out primarily in Alliance One’s offices in San Diego, California, and Gig Harbor, Washington. The firm has 14 call centers in the U.S., Canada, and Jamaica.
