CompuCredit to Donate $12 Million to Charitable Causes

CompuCredit Corporation announced today that it has established a 2005 CompuCredit Corporation Charitable Designation Program through which its shareholders will designate charitable organizations to receive $12 million in CompuCredit charitable donations to be made before the end of this year.

"Our profits this year have set new records for us, and knowing just how significant the needs are for charitable organizations, particularly with all of the natural disasters this year, our Board reached a decision this week that CompuCredit should do its part to help those in need through establishing a 2005 shareholder charitable designation program," said David Hanna, CompuCredit's Chairman and CEO. "We plan to communicate the specifics of our 2005 charitable designation program to our shareholders over the next few weeks, and we look forward to having this program achieve the level of success that we achieved through a similar program last year."

Last year, through its 2004 charitable designation program, CompuCredit donated $9 million to a variety of charitable causes, including earthquake, tsunami and other disaster relief; boys and girls clubs, disadvantaged youth programs; and cancer and other medical research.

CompuCredit is a specialty finance company and marketer of branded credit cards and related financial services.
