Vikas Kapoor, president and CEO of
iQor, has joined the Metropolitan Opera's board of directors.
Mr. Kapoor has a long-standing love of opera and the arts. An active patron of the arts, he also serves on the boards of the Rubin Museum of Art and The Cooper Union.
"The Met has a history of excellence, not only as the home to the most creative and talented opera artists, but with its extraordinary use of technology to expand its reach to the world," said Kapoor. "With a strong belief in growth through investment in technology and a love of opera music, it is truly an honor to dedicate my time and energies to the Met."
Mr. Kapoor earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and his MA in Philosophy from Harvard University. He holds a BA from Princeton. He is a board member of the Young President's Organization and is part of Philippine President Gloria Arroyo's International Board of Advisors.
