I like how you offer topic or category subscriptions with auto-emails on new posts. I recommend you add "Private Messages" as a category which can be subscribed to for auto-emails on new PMs (or add a options check-box for this capability). (This function may already exist, but I didn't see it in a quick check.)

(1) Last Post truncation and (2) Unique Views?

Two quick questions:

(1) Last Post Truncation

The text within the Last Post column is cut off on the right (may only see two or three characters of each line) on the categories.cfm page for some categories. This occurs on multiple browsers (tested firefox and IE 7), multiple computers, and regardless of screen width or resolution. It is not even possible to scroll through the cut-off text. It affects some forum categories (e.g., Debt Collection) but not others (e.g., technology). (This may be related to Bilaal's post 1/28 concerning Forum Margins.) Not a big deal, but thought it worth letting you know.

(2) Unique Views

Also, just wondering: has there been any consideration to adding a Unique Views count in addition to the current Views count to this same categories.cfm page? May be informative and easy to do by either IP or username (depending on what information you're capturing). If you're concerned about width of table, you could add a toggle on Views to switch from Unique to Total instead of adding a new column (even just as an unpublished URL variable for advanced users).

We're always metric-focused, and just thought this may be a constructive addition...

---------------------------
www.metrictracker.com, 619-546-0602

Folks,

Another thing that's not quite right yet is that it appears that all new messages now have to go through moderation. I believe that before, your messages appeared immediately without going through one-by-one moderation. (Is that right?)

In any case, that's the goal, so please bear with us while we sort that out.

Also, I have reason to believe that something's up with email notifications. Please let us know here if there's any trouble around that.

Thanks.

I suggest some changes on a couple of immediately apparent issues:

The default icons provided look as if they were created by Captain Kangaroo for 3 year olds. Users should be permitted to upload their own icons.

Additionally, despite proper paragraph breaks in our posts, the software automatically deletes sentence breaks and restructures the entire post into one very long paragraph when it is submitted. Doesn't the new software permit for some basic writing skills? This post was created in three separate paragraphs when I wrote it, but came out as one paragraph.

.
