This year has seen some changes in the folks selling debt. Tony Jackson is no longer at Collins and Bob Knapp is no longer at West. West is not selling and we don't hear much from some other folks who were big in the industry a couple or several years ago.

I really like Tony and Bob.

There is a lot of movement at mid levels and Jason Pratt handles sales and acquisitions for a number of folks. We would be happy to help anyone out there looking to buy or sell.

John Pratt
Portfolio Management Group
2600 Oakstone Dr
Columbus OH 43231
614-440-6614

Has anyone noticed the retrade market heating up?

I have had a ton of my clients trying to sell their debt. Luckily, there have been enough spending $10k to $200k to move everything from OOS to 2007 paper. I can say this wasn't the case over the summer. Obviously, there are some deals to be had.

Now that some of the large buyers are no longer selling (you know who I mean), there are opportunities in other places. Companies that I work with that used to sell to passive quiet debt buyers have been able to move thier stuff in pieces or in entirety fairly easily. Meanwhile, there are some deals out there to be had.

I know in this time there is fairly easy access to issuers, but there are some opportunities on the retrade market that are obviously hard to pass up. That's good for everyone.

Anyone else notice this?
