There have been several requests for the moderator to ban FDCPA101 and Lungbutter.....is there no more moderator? Just asking cause they are tromping around on here like a couple of bandits and no one is putting them in their right place. The debtor boards.
Tool ------------------------- The more calls you make, the more debtors you talk too, the more money you will collect...........so why are you on this board? get on the phone! PRIME TIME! |

The moderator is here. I've deleted a few of FDCPA101's posts recently, but I have not banned that user name.
To fdcpa101: you've worn out your welcome in the industry folders. Unless you have something truly constructive to add, keep it in the Consumer folder. |

Sounds like communism/fascism really is taking over. If someone makes a valid point/criticism that exposes flaws in your reasoning, instead of addressing the point, you just get rid of them.
I've never been profane, obscene, or personally insulting to anyone. But it is 'your' board...do with me as you will. Besides, my preferred method of communication with debt collectors is a summons and complaint anyway. |

Lungbutter,
You need to understand that posting on this board examples of how you screwed a creditor or a collector, how you got one over one of us is no the smartest thing to do. That would be like me going to a Consumer board and boasting about how I nailed 90 yr old grandma into paying a bill, and braggin about how I sued debtors and screwed them over. This is not a debtors board as you can tell. Word of advise. Dont come here and throw this kinda crap into our fan. It only gets slung back at you. Dr. Tax rides the line in my opinion as well, but some people seem to tolerate his antics. I would take some lessons from him. He has seemed to have made it work somehow. Dont ask me how but he has. Tool - I make it work by knowing the difference between legitimate discussion and baiting. I don't bait. I don't think you will find a single post I have made here that was not a legitimate addition to a legitimate discussion. You may not like what I say, but you should respect what I say because it is not designed to incite. There have been plenty of consumers who have come here to incite or disrupt. I am not one of them.
In general, what I do here is what I expect to be done on my own Board. ------------------------- Visit the Credit Terrorist Training Camp - http://www.debtorboards.com A telephone in the hands of a collector is like a crowbar - it can be used to pry a mouth open wide enough to insert a foot. |

Dr.Tax,
I see your point and do agree. Even though we all know there is that so called "jab" everyonce in a while. However in my book you are a patriot! You are correct you add something to these posts and we learn from you, and that is why have not been slammed. I stand corrected, I do know why you are still around. Common sense. Everyone jabs once in a while. It adds color to the Board. I give it and I take it, always with humor and in the sense that it was meant.

Lungbutter, You need to understand that posting on this board examples of how you screwed a creditor or a collector, how you got one over one of us is no the smartest thing to do. Um, I've never stated or implied that I 'screwed' a creditor or collector. They tried to tag me for bogus debt, violated, and got sued. They should have been more careful. Did you mean 'advice'? Or did you want to 'advise' me of something? I actually try to not 'throw' any crap. I came here to learn and discuss and not be antagonistic. However, once it was determined that I was a consumer (and the worst kind...one who knows his rights), I was immediately assaulted and painted with the broad 'deadbeat' brush. Primarily by you. So yes, although I came with the best of intentions, occasionally I get snippy, or bait. Mostly I just read and try to learn. Kind of like how your industry creates the consumers that turn on you. I have taken lessons. And my bank account thanks him. |

Yeah! What we need around here is a moderator to come in and censor all the comments that we don't like. We need to live in our dream world. We don't want to hear any dissent. What the hell is going on around here?

What the hell is going on is that the trolls have taken over the asylum, and legitimate, interesting members are losing interest in participating. Apparently, they don't like wading through all the crap you generate.

Admittedly, I've at times stirred the pot with discussing bill collectors. However, I've never said "all bill collectors" for any given category. Even I admit there is a handful of educated and ethical ones out there.

Is there a ban function where I can choose to not see some specific members posts.
