ODC Recovery Services is a collection agency that is wholly owned by MediCorp Health System, a non-profit regional health system of 28 health care facilities and wellness services.
Employees’ are eligible for a quarterly bonus that is paid when collection goals are exceeded by 10 percent. A parent health system is also available to reward associates, on an annual basis for success in organizational and department goals. Associates also receive bonuses for scholarly recognition such as a degree of completion, certification, publication, etc.
Employees that have completed 1 year of service, and are at least a 0.5 FTE are eligible for tuition assistance. Full time employees are eligible for $4,000/yr toward a graduate degree, $3,000/yr toward an undergraduate degree. Part-time employees (FTE 0.5 to 0.8) are eligible for $2,000/yr toward a graduate degree or $1,500/yr for an undergraduate degree.
Communication is enabled through a cohesive, tight-knit environment in the office. Organizational newsletters and corporate intranet are also available. Employees have the opportunity to relay their opinions on the company through suggestion boxes, employee surveys, an open door policy for all and opportunities to meet with senior leadership.
ODC’s health plan includes a Premium Waiver Program. This program waives health and dental premiums for employees whose income does not exceed the Family Income Guidelines (FIG). A large portion of hospital bills are also waived if an employee’s income falls under the FIG. The medical plan also includes full coverage for employee life insurance and long-term disability, shared cost for medical, prescription, short-tem disability plan and dental coverage. Eligibility begins after one month of hire.
