PHOENIX, AZArizona headquartered BillingTree® today announced it will once again contribute to Season for Sharing, the annual holiday campaign set up by The Arizona Republic, azcentral.com and 12 News. The campaign raises awareness and dollars for non-profit 501(c)3 agencies that help Arizona’s neediest. BillingTree has committed to part of the $500,000 match amount pledged by leading Arizona-based businesses and charitable trusts.

BillingTree also recently placed 7th out of 25 for the best places to work (small business category) in Arizona, as part of  the Phoenix Business Journal ‘Best Places to Work Program 2015’. Recognition is primarily attributed to BillingTree employee’s ratings of the company, as well as their commitment to giving back to the community. In 2015 BillingTree employees continued the long-standing company volunteering policy, supplying 3 paid office-hours per month per staff member for personal causes – totaling over 2,000 hours of volunteer time this year. Most recently employees donated time helping staff and animals at Phoenix Zoo – matched by a donation of $40 per hour by one of the company’s founders. Employer-paid volunteer time also included year-round support for St. Mary’s Food Bank, Future For Kids, Feed My Starving Children, Phoenix Children’s Hospital and other organizations. Other significant goodwill recipients in 2015 included Florence Crittenton’s Teaming Up For Girls Luncheon and the Helping Hands for Freedom Golf Classic.

“It’s wonderful to share goodwill and continue our work with so many local charities through our employee’s time, event sponsorship and other donations,” commented Edgars Sturans, BillingTree CEO. “2015 saw over 2,000 man-hours donated by our dedicated staff, and another year where a percentage of annual profit was given back to the local community. Since its foundation, goodwill and philanthropy have always been key elements in the BillingTree company ethos and this year was no exception.”
